Sarah & Mario met years ago at Pier 23 in San Francisco on a blind date. Yes, a blind date! As in, no swiping right dating apps or anything like that! What's crazy about this date was that it was supposed to be a "rebound," but fate had other plans for these two.
Fast forward to today and they decided to hold their wedding on two different dates - the first with family to be held on the very date they had their blind date at the same location, and the second with family.
For the first day, Mario got ready at their residence with his son helping him out.
Sarah got ready at the iconic Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Mario didn't know this was where she was getting ready, as she was going to surprise him later on in the day and bring him to the hotel.
One of Sarah's close friends surprised her with a necklace & pendant that contained a photo of her late mom. It was such a heartfelt and emotional moment.
Getting married at the very spot at Pier 23 where they first met with only family present revealed how intentional and well thought-out Sarah & Mario were in planning their day. Although a few close friends attended, they were considered family as well.
After their intimate ceremony, they took their couple & wedding party portraits along the Embarcadero. From their mutual love of the San Francisco Giants, to one of their favorite spots (Red's Java House), we had a great time capturing their photos against the backdrop of these various iconic locations.
We just LOVE when the stars align when we're out shooting! It just so happened that a DJ was preparing for a set in front of Cupid's Span, and this happened....
We worked our way up the Embarcadero and towards the Palace Hotel, where Sarah revealed her surprise!
The second day
A few months later, Sarah & Mario held another ceremony for the rest of their extended family & friends at Dominic's Oyster Point in South San Francisco, followed by a reception to party the night away!
