Just like everything else, 2020 was a wild year, especially for the wedding industry. After waiting to finally tie the knot, Angelyn & JR had to put off their wedding AGAIN. But you know what? Good things come to those who wait! And you know what else? They decided to get married on a Tuesday because the date was very special to them. As we always say, you can do whatever you want - it's your wedding day!

They held their ceremony at San Francisco City Hall, known for its French Renaissance architecture and is in fact, an iconic landmark. Inside, it's neutral color palette gives way to the grand staircase, accented by its intricate gold railing.

We started off with their first look - an opportunity to see each other for the first time and relish the moment before the hustle and bustle of the day started.

Enjoy the photos! - J & M

At the bottom of the staircase, their kids were able to steal a few quick loving moments.

From City Hall, we travelled 40 minutes away to Benicia, a quiet city suburb tucked away by the Carquinez Strait. Their reception was being held at Jefferson Street Mansion, known for its American Colonial style inside and out.

When we arrived, we continued with their wedding party photos and rolled right into their reception.

We absolutely loved JR's gift to his groomsmen - throwback Golden State Warriors hats! Makes for great epic groomsmen photos, too!

The money dance is a traditional part of many Filipino weddings, where the guests come up to the bride & groom to pin money on them and share a one-on-one dance to show love and wish them well.

One of the advantages of a summer wedding is having the sun stay out later in the day than normal. Because of this, we planned a brief bride & groom session during golden hour (the hour before the sun sets), which also gave a moment for Angelyn & JR to enjoy with one another. The light was absolutely amazing! And you know how we do our portrait sessions....
