Ahhhhhh...Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This resort town on Mexico's Pacific coast is known for its beaches, water sports, and nightlife. Unbeknownst to some, it's also close to the birthplace of tequila and mariachi. Nonetheless, this city becomes home to a privileged few during the US winter and spring months - who doesn't want to enjoy 70+ degree weather in November?
Jhimelle & Marcus tied the knot at the beautiful Velas Vallarta Resort. Lush greenery, palm trees, the sun - it's paradise, and the perfect backdrop for their wedding. Close family and friends got to enjoy each other's company in the days leading up to the wedding, and Marianne and I were lucky to meet everyone and have dinner with them before the wedding. We felt beyond blessed with shooting our first international destination wedding, but were more thankful of the lifelong friendships we've made here. This wasn't like other weddings we've shot - we actually got to spend time with Jhimelle & Marcus' friends & family, which gave everything a more intimate and personable feel. When the big day came, it was just a continuation of that same intimate atmosphere, culminating in everyone having a fabulous time on the dance floor without a care in the world.
